Circles in Life Bowl

Wheel thrown bowl in a red clay body. The flecks of manganese make this clay gritty when thrown in a wheel but offer more stability to the clay after firing, making it stronger than other clay bodies. The hand painted design is done in white underglaze and fired atop raw clay for stronger design lines. The design carries small animals like birds and dogs, set in a more primitive portrayal to leave room for interpretation.
